The University Church in Vilnius with 68 m tall bell tower is one of the most characteristic historical monuments in the Vilnius Old Town. First, wooden church was built there in the end of the 14th century. The stone gothic church - in the 15th century. After the fire in the first half of the 18th the church was rebuilt in a late baroque style, and in the 19th century - partly in a neoclassical style. After the 2nd World War changed into a warehouse and then - a university museum. Since 1991 - a church again.
